Review – Sparks Fly by Lauren Runow

Everly wasn’t excited over her impending meeting with the enigmatic Prince Sage. Being one of only four women from whom the Prince gets to choose in marriage was never something she valued. Her goal was to politely and elegantly remove herself from a forced wedding due to long standing traditions. Handsome Prince or not, she won’t marry for anything but love.

Once Sage proceeds to the next candidate, Everly finally feels she can move forward with her life. On her own terms. That is, until she receives a mysterious request, asking her to solve a riddle, taking her on a night she’ll never forget.

A fervent adventure ensues, and attraction builds as the excitement of the night unfolds. Sparks fly in more ways than one just as she finds out who’s stealing her heart.

Guest Blogger MJ Review of Sparks Fly by Lauren Runow

Lauren Runow’s new royal romance, Sparks Fly, is live!  This unique take on the Prince meets girl story will warm your heart.

Every girl dreams of getting swept away by a handsome Prince, right?  Wrong!  Definitely not Everly.  She is not-at-all happy about being on the short list of possible wives for the future King of her island nation, Canterbury.

Everly doesn’t fit the mold.  She has grown up a commoner, and she is a smart, independent young woman with no interest in the trappings of royalty. Regardless of her bloodline or her mother’s dreams for her, her own big ambitions are a priority and she is excited to pursue her dreams and make a difference in the world.  Everly certainly can’t imagine that would be possible if she becomes a member of the boring, uppity and distant, royal family. Not to mention, she is going to marry for love.

But, she hasn’t really met Prince Sage yet…

He has lived his whole life in rebellion of his royal roots, including the traditional arranged marriage he’s facing. Then he meets the third girl on the list, Everly, and he sees a spark in her! She is nothing like the others. For the first time, he might be able to imagine a future queen that he would be proud to have at his side. He thinks they might be able to change the face of the royal family together!  But, is she for real?  And if she is, can he convince her to give him a chance?

I enjoyed being along for the adventure with Sage and Everly.  They were two great characters that got even better as they challenged tradition, each other, and explored the possibility of a life together.

Cheers!
