A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR REVIEWS
Thank you so much for reaching out to the BFF’s to review your book. Here’s a little information about our reviews.
Both K & A work full time beyond the blog and have young families. We have to be sure to leave plenty of time for reading, drinking wine and playing golf. (Plus, K is a REALLY slow reader!) So, we can only accept a very limited number of review requests. We will read all emails and have a TBR list that never gets any shorter! Both K & A will review books and we can’t guarantee a review by a particular BFF. Reviews will be determined, by interest in the book and time available. But, we will only respond if we choose to review your book.
You’ll find our reviews are shorter than the traditional blog review. All reviews will feature the book title and blurb, a link to Amazon, a short overall review, then utilize our icon ratings where appropriate. We don’t guarantee anything but an honest recap of our thoughts and opinions about the book. K reads exclusively on Kindle (real books are only for autographing!) A reads mostly on Kindle, but will actually pick up paper pages occasionally!
K <3’s the romance! Give her an alpha male, a strong heroine, intriguing plot line and a happily ever after and she’ll read until the wee hours of the night/morning. But, be sure the characters are well-developed. Weak character development, and for that matter weak characters make her cranky. She also has a soft spot for vampires! Examples of her favorites: Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer, Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James, anything by Colleen Hoover, On Dublin Street Series by Samantha Young, Stage Dive Series by Kylie Scott, Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Series by Charlaine Harris, A Matter of Fate and Collectors’ Society Series by Heather Lyons, the Modern Love Stories Series by Daisy Prescott. K has a couple of hard limits – NO books about Priests, Step-Brothers or Teacher/Student romance. And, she often judges books by their covers.
A <3’s the suspense! She loves stories with lots of nail biting, twists and turns and unexpected endings. John Grisham and the Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell hooked her on suspense. She also reads the romance books, but they must have good characters and interesting well-developed plot lines! Examples of her other favorites include: The Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich, Anything by Gillian Flynn, Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer, Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James, Stage Dive Series by Kylie Scott and anything by Colleen Hoover.
